Frequently asked questions
We take Zelle, personal checks, or Good Dog for deposits. The balance is due when the puppy is 6 weeks old, and is payable by Zelle or Good Dog. We now accept personal checks but it must be sent when the puppy is 5 weeks-old. Good Dog charges processing fees to both the buyer and the breeder. They accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. If paying through Good Dog, there will be an additional $200.00 added to the balance due.
Yes, we do ship anywhere in the United States. We will ship the puppy personally, also known as a flight nanny. In this type of shipment, the puppy is in the cabin of the airplane, not down with the cargo. This fee varies based on factors such as: where the destination is; time of year; supply and demand (it is usually between $650-1250). To meet at MSP airport the fee is $50. If we drive to your location, or meet halfway, the fee is $0.50 a mile.
No. If the dog does not have dew claws, there is a higher potential for the carpel ligaments to stretch and tear which could result in laxity and arthritis over time. This can then result in more stress being generated through the dog's carpus, elbow, shoulder, and spine as he/she tries to compensate for the lack of digit.
We feed our dogs and puppies TLC Whole Life All-stages dog food. We also recommend foods that are WSAVA-approved (Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, Purina, IAMS, Eukanuba). These companies have a full-time board certified nutritionist formulating their food.
We also recommend avoiding grain-free dog foods. There are studies showing a correlation between grain-free dog food and DCM. DCM is a serious heart muscle disorder which leads to arythmias, congenital heart failure, and sudden death. Grain is important to your dog's nutritional health diet.
